The Pasadena Vocal Competition 2021
Due to COVID-19, the Pasadena Vocal Competition will be held on Saturday, February 20 at the Monte Vista Groves Homes, 2889 San Pasqual Street, Pasadena, CA 91107. A minimum of 25 finalists will be invited to compete on the 20th For a ‘live’ audition for 3 highly qualified judges. *If CDC restrictions are still in place during the second week of January, all prizes will be based on video submissions, bio and resume only .* We encourage all contestants to submit the best quality video as is possible. We encourage videos made at home, in a house of worship, recording studios and recital halls; we are simply looking for the best visual and audio quality.

Competition Application Information
Application Deadline: Friday, January 10, 2020 (midnight)
Applicants must be between the ages of 21 and 32 as of January 15, 2021 and reside in the United States. Transportation to and from the competition is the sole responsibility of the applicant. All applicants must be available between the hours of 11 am to 6 pm on Saturday, February 20 for the final round.
A minimum of 25 finalists will be selected based on video submissions, bio and resume. The finals will be held on Saturday, February 20 at the Monte Vista Groves Homes in Pasadena, unless the COVID-19 CDC guidelines dictate otherwise. If it will not be possible to have live auditions on the 20th of February, prizes will be given out based on the aforementioned criteria.
Applications must include:
4 OPERATIC ARIAS:
1 aria in the original Italian language
1 aria in the original English language
2 arias in any original foreign language(s) other than Italian
Be sure to include the name of the aria, opera and composer.

If you have an audition time request between 11 am and 3 pm on February 20, please submit request to Mona Lands. We cannot guarantee time requests, but will do our best to accommodate.

If you use the PVC accompanist, please provide a binder with all arias clearly marked, legible and double-sided. Please do not bring music in plastic page sleeves, anthologies or vocal scores.
