Bruce Stasyna is Conductor in Residence & Chorus Master for the San Diego Opera. This season he conducts the San Diego Symphony concert with Grammy winners Latonia Moore and J’nai Bridges, and chorus masters Madama Butterfly and Don Giovanni. In 2022-23, he led the world premiere of Nic Reveles trilogy Ghosts and chorus mastered the world premiere of El ùltimo sueño de Frida y Diego and new productions of Suor Angelica and Tosca. Maestro Stasyna was music director for a special cabaret featuring acclaimed soprano Angelina Reaux.

In the 2021-22 season, he conducted Cosi fan tutte, and led orchestral workshops of a new opera by Gabriela Lena Frank and Nilo Cruz, co-commissioned with San Francisco Opera. Previously, he conducted Il Barbiere di Siviglia and One Amazing Night – two highly acclaimed outdoor drive-in productions at the Pechanga Arena, and La Bohème, Kiss me Kate, Il Barbiere di Siviglia, The Grapes of Wrath, Maria de Buenos Aires, As One, Suor Angelica & Gianni Schicchi.  He has been Chorus Master for New York City Opera, Wolf Trap Opera, Minnesota Opera and Washington Concert Opera, Artistic Director of the Green Mountain Opera Festival, Music Director of Vero Beach Opera and Director of the Young Artists Program at Palm Beach Opera. He has partnered in recital with notable operatic performers including J’nai Bridges, Jeanine DeBique, Marcello Giordani, Marina Costa Jackson and Deborah Voigt and has enjoyed important collaborations with Alberto Zedda and Harry Bicket. Mr. Stasyna is based in New York City and San Diego, California.
